About Me
Hey there, I’m Bobby Vegetal – creator of A Bee Made It. This is where you can read more about me and why I’m promoting a plant based diet.
From a young age, I was obsessed with cooking and everything edible. Growing up I’d spend hours glued to the TV watching food shows. I loved Anthony Bourdain for the adventure and attitude and Alton Brown’s Good Eats for the food science. Their inventive approach to cooking inspired me to create my own recipes that were vegan and plant-based. Now, I’m on a mission to make healthy eating just as tasty as it is good for you!
Why Plant Based and Vegan?
In my 20s I ate a plant based diet, I loved it and my health responded favorably to it too. I had a lot of energy and it was effortless to lose weight. Once I moved back home with family and over time my diet changed to an unhealthy one again. In less than a decade my weight spiraled out of control. I found myself at rock bottom weighing over four hundred pounds. One thing about me was that I knew a plant based diet was healing. I was fighting for, but I never got the support around me to make it a way of life. I knew I had to get back to a plant based diet for my body, and vegan for the animals.
As I started learning more about the environmental impact of animal agriculture, I became even more committed to a plant-based and vegan lifestyle. I wanted to create delicious and satisfying vegan dishes that would make people forget they were even eating plant-based food. This led me to experiment with different ingredients and cooking techniques to create dishes that were not only healthy, but also flavorful and indulgent.
Creating Exciting Recipes
My love for cooking and experimenting with different flavors and ingredients has led me to create some unique recipes that I never thought would be possible. From favorite recipes like BBQ Competition Jackfruit Seitan Ribs to Crunchy Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, I’ve been able to translate my love for cooking into creating delicious vegan food.
I believe that everyone can benefit from incorporating more plant-based foods into their diet. Whether it’s for the animals, health reasons, or for the environment. My goal with the blog is to make plant based vegan food accessible and enjoyable. Eating better is something everyone has an interest in, no matter what their dietary preferences are.

Here you’ll find amazing veganized versions of traditional favorites, improved meals featuring better ingredients and techniques, and copycat recipes that let you save while eating healthy.
These innovative dishes have been instrumental in helping us get on track with our health – and now we want to spread their magic to everyone, pushing for better health and animal rights along the way!
